How to read this

The red mark is the published kill line — the price that would prove the thesis wrong. The dot is where the name closed on 13 October 2026; a dot left of the mark has closed through its line.

Distance is drawn on a square-root scale, so close calls get the room. Past 8% a row reads well clear, with a hollow dot to show the figure is off the drawn scale. Rows run tightest first.

Kill line

A weekly close below $8.00, under the 11 September 2026 close of $8.10 that preceded the rebound. Q3 2026 comparable delivered-sales growth at or below Q2's 4.0% would separately contradict the order-conversion case.

Open pick Medium conviction, opened at $9.60. Kill line at open: $8.00 (weekly close); graded by at the latest.

The thesis

Arhaus, Inc. is a premium home-furnishings retailer whose recovery case rests on orders turning into deliveries. The estimated 5 November 2026 Q3 report settles it: comparable delivered-sales growth has to exceed Q2's 4.0%, and the shares have already moved ahead of that proof.

On 6 August 2026 Arhaus reported Q2 2026 comparable written-sales growth of 12.5% and comparable delivered-sales growth of 4.0%. It guided Q3 revenue to $355 million to $375 million and kept full-year 2026 sales guidance at $1.430 billion to $1.470 billion (Benzinga, 6 August 2026). Arhaus Q2 results

The narrative is maturing: the Jefferies upgrade of 21 September 2026 brought new attention, and no new company disclosure has followed it before the Q3 report. The adjusted close rose from $8.10 on 11 September 2026 to $9.75 on 8 October 2026. Order conversion remains a view until Q3 is reported.

Bullish and bearish views on Arhaus, Inc.

The bull case on Arhaus, Inc. (ARHS), in brief: Written demand ran ahead of deliveries. The bear case: Guidance allows weak conversion.

Bull case

  • Written demand ran ahead of deliveries. Q2 2026 comparable written sales grew 12.5% against 4.0% for delivered sales, reported 6 August 2026. Made-to-order lead times mean written orders reach revenue roughly a quarter later. Arhaus Q2 results
  • They act as the forward order book. Arhaus Q2 results
  • Brokers lifted targets after Q2. On 7 August 2026 Telsey Advisory Group and Morgan Stanley each raised their targets to $10 and Piper Sandler raised its target to $9 (Benzinga). Jefferies upgraded the shares from Hold to Buy on 21 September 2026 and moved its target from $9.50 to $10.00. Investing.com report

Bear case

  • Guidance allows weak conversion. The Q3 forecast issued 6 August 2026 permits comparable delivered-sales growth from negative 1% to positive 5%. A result at or below Q2's 4.0% would leave the recovery case unproven. Arhaus Q2 results
  • Tariff refunds flattered Q2 profit. Q2 gross profit included a $23.8 million benefit from tariff recoveries, per the 6 August 2026 release. Q3 margin without a similar benefit shows underlying profitability.
  • The shares sit at analyst targets. The 8 October 2026 close of $9.75 is just under the $10 targets of Telsey, Morgan Stanley and Jefferies and above Piper Sandler's $9 target. Little room to those published targets remains.
  • Insider sale in the rebound. Director Alton F. Doody III reported selling 3,500 Class A shares at $8.47 on 8 September 2026 (SEC Form 4). Director Form 4

Price setup

The adjusted daily close was $9.75 on 8 October 2026. That is 13.8% below the 52-week high of $11.31. The shares rose 26.1% over three months, and the 14-day relative strength index was 74.6, a reading above 70 that is generally read as overbought. It was 59.9 on 25 September 2026.

The recovery moved the shares back above the $9.00 level discussed in the prior note. The rally is fast and the Q3 report is under four weeks away. Crowding evidence is the extended momentum reading, the approaching earnings date and the director sale in September. A weekly close below $8.00 would take the shares under the 11 September 2026 close of $8.10 and erase the rebound.

What would change the view

The case breaks if Q3 2026 comparable delivered-sales growth comes in at or below Q2's 4.0%, because the 12.5% written-sales growth would not have converted. A drop in client deposits from the $264 million reported at 30 June 2026 would weaken the order evidence. Q3 gross margin falling once the $23.8 million Q2 tariff benefit drops out would show that reported profit leaned on refunds.

On price, a weekly close below $8.00 would show the rebound from the 11 September 2026 close of $8.10 has failed.

What it trades with

Arhaus sells big-ticket, made-to-order furniture, so its orders respond to housing turnover, mortgage rates and affluent-consumer spending. It tends to move with other home-furnishings and housing-linked retailers. A shift in interest-rate expectations or tariff policy can move the shares independently of Arhaus's own orders.

Notes

  • Dual-class structure: Class B carries ten votes per share and the founder block holds the controlling vote, so the Class A float is far smaller than shares outstanding.
  • Q2 2026 gross margin includes a $23.8 million IEEPA tariff refund booked in cost of goods sold, so headline margin is not comparable year over year.
  • Delivered revenue lags written orders by roughly a quarter on made-to-order lead times; client deposits on the balance sheet are the forward order book.
  • Calendar fiscal year. Q3 results are normally released in early November, with the date announced about a week ahead.
