Against its published line

Above its line on the last close.

How to read this

The red mark is the published kill line — the price that would prove the thesis wrong. The dot is where the name closed on 22 October 2026; a dot left of the mark has closed through its line.

Distance is drawn on a square-root scale, so close calls get the room. Past 8% a row reads well clear, with a hollow dot to show the figure is off the drawn scale. Rows run tightest first.

How a pick is graded

Kill line

A daily close below $15.00, a round level under the 22 October 2026 close of $15.99 that would extend the decline; cancellation of the Orion agreement or conditional 2026 sales guidance cut below 19,500 GEOs would also end the thesis.

Not a pickResearch coverage at low conviction. A medium-or-higher call would open a pick on the scoreboard.

The thesis

Elemental Royalty Corporation's growth case, built on the completed Vizsla deal and the pending US$290 million Orion purchase, remains intact on paper while the shares keep falling: the adjusted close was $15.99 on 22 October 2026, below the $16.00 level that the 10 October 2026 note set as its break point. The Orion closing in the fourth quarter and the third-quarter report decide whether sales confirm the guidance.

On 21 September 2026 Elemental raised conditional 2026 sales guidance to 19,500–22,000 gold-equivalent ounces (GEOs), including 1,500 GEOs from Orion assets. The adjusted close was $20.74 on 25 September 2026, $17.86 on 9 October 2026 and $15.99 on 22 October 2026. The narrative is maturing: deal newsflow peaked with the 21 September 2026 Orion announcement and interest has faded since. Searches of company releases and SEC filings found no cancellation of the Orion agreement, no guidance cut and no announcement that explains the decline.

Bullish and bearish views on Elemental Royalty Corporation

The bull case on Elemental Royalty Corporation (ELE), in brief: Guidance includes acquired ounces. The bear case: The shares broke the prior support level.

Bull case

  • Guidance includes acquired ounces. The company's 21 September 2026 announcement put conditional 2026 sales at 19,500–22,000 GEOs, with the existing portfolio at 18,000–20,500 GEOs. The earlier range, given with second-quarter results on 11 August 2026, was 17,000–21,000 GEOs.
  • Orion adds producing assets. The five streams and royalties cover gold, silver and polymetallic exposure in the United States, Guinea, Mexico and New Zealand. Elemental expects closing in the fourth quarter of 2026, with the Snowy River stream possibly slipping to the first quarter of 2027 on New Zealand regulatory requirements.
  • Overhead is set to fall. Elemental said on 21 September 2026 that divesting its Generation exploration business to Carlin East Inc. would cut annual general and administrative costs by about US$6 million and headcount from about 45 to about 20. The divestment is targeted for completion by 31 October 2026.
  • Analyst target sits far above the price. HC Wainwright maintained a Buy and raised its price target to $33 on 12 August 2026, per Benzinga. That target predates the Orion announcement and the decline since.

Bear case

  • The shares broke the prior support level. The adjusted close fell from $20.74 on 25 September 2026 to $15.99 on 22 October 2026, 33.8% below the 52-week high of $24.14. The 14-day Relative Strength Index (RSI), a momentum gauge where readings below 30 mark heavy selling, was 31.2 on 22 October 2026, up from 18.5 on 9 October 2026.
  • Acquisition growth carries dilution. Orion is priced at US$200 million cash and US$90 million in 4,289,053 new Elemental shares, about 5.6% of shares outstanding by the company's 21 September 2026 statement. Revenue per share after closing will show whether the acquired cash flow outweighs the new shares.
  • Funding depends on a lender amendment. Elemental said on 21 September 2026 that a lender had committed to raise the revolving facility from US$150 million to US$250 million, with the amendment expected by closing.
  • Management is in transition. David Cole resigned as chief executive on 21 September 2026 to join Carlin East, and Frederick Bell took the role. The Carlin East agreement is non-binding.
  • Gold has been volatile. Gold fell about 13% in the second quarter of 2026, per quarterly sector commentary, and gold equities fell further. Elemental's sales and revenue depend on metal prices.

Price setup

The adjusted daily close on 22 October 2026 was $15.99, 33.8% below the 52-week high of $24.14. The shares rose 0.8% over three months, so almost all of the quarter's gain has been given back since late September.

The close sits $0.01 under the $16.00 level that the prior note named. The 14-day RSI of 31.2 is just above the 30 line that marks heavy selling, after reaching 18.5 on 9 October 2026. A rebound in that gauge alongside a lower price means selling slowed while the decline continued.

Crowding evidence is limited. The only imminent dated event is the third-quarter report, expected in mid-November. Insiders file on Canada's SEDI system, so no SEC Form 4 record exists to show insider selling.

Catalysts, next 30 days

  • ~12 November 2026, est. Third-quarter 2026 results. Elemental reported first-quarter results on 13 May 2026 and second-quarter results on 11 August 2026; no third-quarter date was confirmed in company releases found.
  • ~31 December 2026, est. Orion closing. Snowy River may close in the first quarter of 2027.

Elapsed catalysts

  • 31 October 2026 — Generation divestment target. Completion to Carlin East would test the planned cost reduction of about US$6 million a year. (passed 6d ago)

What would change the view

The case breaks if Elemental cancels the Orion agreement, if the non-Snowy River assets do not close by the end of 2026, or if conditional 2026 sales guidance is cut below 19,500 GEOs. On price, a daily close below $15.00, a round level under the 22 October 2026 close of $15.99, would extend the decline that has already broken the $16.00 level.

The case improves if the Generation divestment completes by 31 October 2026 and the third-quarter report keeps sales on track for the guided range. Evidence for a standing rating above LOW would be a close back above the $17.86 reached on 9 October 2026 together with a confirmed Orion closing date.

What it trades with

Elemental sells royalties and streams on gold and silver mines, so its shares track gold-equity sentiment and the gold price. Gold fell about 13% in the second quarter of 2026 per quarterly sector commentary, and gold equities fell further. The Orion deal adds exposure to producing assets in the United States, Guinea, Mexico and New Zealand, and the Vizsla royalties add Mexican silver exposure at Panuco. No sector-wide gold-miner fund data for October was gathered, so the share of the late-September to October decline that is sector-wide remains unmeasured.

Notes

  • Canadian issuer under MJDS: files 6-K/40-F rather than 10-Q, so US quarterly disclosure is thinner than a domestic filer's.
  • Insiders report on Canada's SEDI, not SEC Form 4, so no Section 16 record exists to screen for insider selling.
  • Renamed from Elemental Altus Royalties Corp. to Elemental Royalty Corporation in November 2025; earlier filings and charts sit under the old name.
  • Dual-listed on NASDAQ and TSX under the same ELE ticker; the Toronto line prices in CAD and carries an FX translation.
  • The Orion deal issues 4,289,053 new shares at closing, about 5.6% of shares outstanding per the company.
