How to read this
The red mark is the published kill line — the price that would prove the thesis wrong. The dot is where the name closed on 30 October 2026; a dot left of the mark has closed through its line.
Distance is drawn on a square-root scale, so close calls get the room. Past 8% a row reads well clear, with a hollow dot to show the figure is off the drawn scale. Rows run tightest first.
Kill line
A daily close below $10.90, which would put the shares under JPMorgan's $11 target and well back toward the $9.49 close before the Q3 report. AI revenue growth below 45%, or 2027 revenue guidance below double digits, would also break the case.
Open pick Medium conviction, opened at $13.69. Since then −1.1% against the S&P 500's −2.5% (+1.4 pp). Kill line at open: $10.90 (daily close); graded by at the latest.
How picks are graded →The thesis
Grid Dynamics' artificial-intelligence (AI) work is lifting the whole consulting business back toward double-digit growth at margins near 20%, and nothing since the 29 October 2026 report has weakened that case. The fourth-quarter report, expected around late February 2027, settles it by showing whether formal 2027 guidance matches management's call.
The shares have kept their repricing. They closed at $13.54 on 5 November 2026, against $13.36 on 30 October 2026 and $9.49 before the report (adjusted daily closes). The price now assumes a lot, and the next earnings test is about three months away.
Q3 2026 supports the view. Revenue was a record $114.3 million, up 9.7% year over year and above the company's $112.0–114.0 million guidance (Q3 8-K). AI revenue was 31% of the total and grew more than 45% for a third straight quarter.
The narrative is accelerating, though at a slower pace: the 30 October 2026 session brought 8.58 million shares of volume and three broker target raises, while Benzinga and fiscal.ai coverage shows no new target change after 31 October 2026.
Bullish and bearish views on Grid Dynamics Holdings, Inc.
The bull case on Grid Dynamics Holdings, Inc. (GDYN), in brief: AI revenue now sets the growth rate. The bear case: Fourth-quarter guidance implies a flat quarter.
Bull case
- AI revenue now sets the growth rate. AI revenue has grown more than 45% for three quarters and reached 31% of revenue in Q3 2026 (8-K). On the 29 October 2026 call, management said it expects "healthy double-digit growth" in 2027 and sees the AI share moving toward 40%.
- Operating margin was 8%, compared with -0.2% a year earlier (StockStory, 30 October 2026).
- Margins are back near historical levels. Q3 2026 gross margin under generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) was 40.3%, up from 36.6% in Q2. Management said on the 29 October 2026 call that it reached its 3-percentage-point margin-expansion target a quarter early.
- Large technology clients are spending more. Technology, media and telecom (TMT) revenue rose 29.3% year over year to $36.96 million, or 32.3% of the total, in Q3 2026. Retail revenue grew 13.3% (8-K).
- Cash funds buybacks and acquisitions. Cash was $304.3 million on 30 September 2026. The company bought 5.3 million shares for $35.5 million in the first nine months under a $50 million program (8-K), and management signaled readiness for larger robotics and capital-markets acquisitions in 2027 (StockStory, 30 October 2026).
Bear case
- Fourth-quarter guidance implies a flat quarter. Q4 2026 revenue guidance of $113.5–115.5 million brackets the $114.3 million reported for Q3. EBITDA guidance of $20.0–22.0 million sits below Q3's $22.9 million (8-K).
- Revenue is concentrated in few clients. The top 10 clients were 63.3% of Q3 2026 revenue, up from 58.3% a year earlier, and the top 5 were 45.4% (29 October 2026 call).
- Much of the business is still flat. Finance (22.5% of revenue) and consumer goods and manufacturing (10.9%) were roughly flat year over year in Q3 2026. Healthcare fell about 14% (8-K).
- The price has passed most named targets. The $13.54 close on 5 November 2026 is above JPMorgan's $11 and TD Cowen's $13 targets, both raised on 30 October 2026. Needham's $15 is the only one of the three above it (Benzinga).
- Cash generation lags the margin gain. Operating cash flow for the first nine months of 2026 was $30.5 million, against $30.7 million a year earlier (8-K). Cash fell to $304.3 million on 30 September 2026 from $342.1 million on 31 December 2025, mostly because of buybacks.
Price setup
The $13.54 close on 5 November 2026 is 1.6% below the 52-week high of $13.75 and follows a 76.7% rise over three months (adjusted daily bars). The 14-day relative strength index, a 0–100 momentum gauge, reads 91.7, an extreme reading that was 93.3 in the previous note.
Crowding evidence is mostly insider selling and the speed of the move. InsiderTradeAlerts' list of SEC Form 4 filings shows five executive sales around the report, all tagged as pre-arranged Rule 10b5-1 plan trades:
- CFO Anil Doradla sold 20,000 at $10.51 on 30 October 2026.
- COO Yury Gryzlov sold 10,512 at $10.51 on 30 October 2026 and 4,715 at $13.55 on 3 November 2026.
Gryzlov held 495,290 shares directly after a sale on 8 October 2026 (Form 4). An earnings date is not close, which removes one near-term source of volatility.
The first level that matters is JPMorgan's $11 target. The $10.90 invalidation level sits just under it, with the $9.49 pre-report close below that.
Catalysts, next 30 days
- ~9 November 2026, est.: Q3 2026 Form 10-Q. This is the SEC's 40-day deadline for a filer of this size; the actual filing date is unconfirmed. It adds detail on client concentration, buybacks and cash, and is unlikely to settle the case.
- No company-confirmed earnings report or investor event falls in the next 30 days.
- ~26 February 2027, est.: Q4 2026 report and first 2027 outlook. The case turns on this report: formal guidance either confirms double-digit growth or does not.
What would change the view
The case breaks if AI revenue growth falls below 45% year over year, or if 2027 revenue guidance comes in below double digits at the Q4 report. Q4 EBITDA below the $20.0 million low end of guidance, or revenue below $113.5 million, would undercut the margin and growth claims earlier. A sequential fall in top-10 client revenue would show the concentration risk arriving.
On price, a daily close below $10.90 would put the shares under JPMorgan's $11 target and well back toward the $9.49 pre-report close. It would show the market withdrawing the repricing before the next report.
The case would strengthen if Q4 revenue exceeds $115.5 million and 2027 guidance reaches double digits. Target raises above Needham's $15 would support the same reading.
What it trades with
The 30 October 2026 gain came on company results. Benzinga reported the Nasdaq down 2.48% midway through that session while the shares rose sharply, so the move did not depend on the market.
The closest comparisons are IT-services peers EPAM, Globant and Accenture, plus the wider AI enterprise software group of ten names that also includes Appian, Kyndryl and Braze. That group's weekly read moved back to accelerating on 6 November 2026 after three weeks of maturing. The stock-specific case does not need that support, but the current price benefits from it. A return to cooling alongside weak IT-services peer reports would raise the bar for a name priced this far above its pre-report close, and any fall below $10.90 on such news would count against the case.
