How to read this

The red mark is the published kill line — the price that would prove the thesis wrong. The dot is where the name closed on 26 October 2026; a dot left of the mark has closed through its line.

Distance is drawn on a square-root scale, so close calls get the room. Past 8% a row reads well clear, with a hollow dot to show the figure is off the drawn scale. Rows run tightest first.

Kill line

A daily close below $39.50, under the 16 October 2026 close of $39.56, which would erase most of the October rally; a third-quarter revenue miss below $607 million or a cut to full-year guidance would also break the case.

Not a pickResearch coverage at low conviction. A medium-or-higher call would open a pick on the scoreboard.

The thesis

Globant's shares have run ahead of its business: they rose 28.3% over three months to a $45.03 close on 23 October 2026 on news of an Anthropic partnership, while the company's own guidance still calls for revenue that is flat to down this year. The third-quarter report, expected around 12 November 2026, decides whether AI revenue is growing fast enough to justify the move.

Globant is a Luxembourg-incorporated software and IT services firm that trades on the New York Stock Exchange. The bull argument is that its subscription-style AI offering, Glob.AI, is scaling quickly enough to restart growth. In the 13 August 2026 second-quarter release, Glob.AI annual recurring revenue (ARR) was $52.8 million, up 61% from the prior quarter, and the company expects at least $110 million by the end of 2026.

The bear argument is that the core services business is shrinking and analysts keep cutting targets. Second-quarter revenue was $614.4 million, essentially flat against $614.2 million a year earlier. Adjusted earnings per share (EPS) fell to $1.40 from $1.53, and adjusted operating margin narrowed to 13.2% from 15.0%.

The narrative is accelerating. Investing.com reported a 7.5% intraday jump on 1 October 2026 tied to a Claude-powered "AI Pods" alliance with Anthropic. The shares then climbed from a $39.56 close on 16 October 2026 to $45.78 on 22 October 2026. The fundamentals have not caught up: Mizuho cut its target to $51 from $59 on 6 October 2026, and Wells Fargo cut its target to $39 from $42 on 13 October 2026. The broader AI enterprise software group was cooling over the same weeks, which sets a higher bar for a single name to keep leading.

Bullish and bearish views on GLOBANT S.A.

The bull case on GLOBANT S.A. (GLOB), in brief: AI recurring revenue is compounding fast. The bear case: Core revenue has stopped growing.

Bull case

  • AI recurring revenue is compounding fast. Glob.AI ARR reached $52.8 million in the second quarter, up 61% quarter over quarter, per the 13 August 2026 release. The company targets no less than $110 million exiting 2026.
  • Anthropic alliance adds a credible partner. On 1 October 2026 Investing.com reported the alliance to deliver Claude-powered AI Pods, alongside a Salesforce-integrated pod. The shares rose 7.5% intraday that morning.
  • Buyback capacity is large for the company's size. $125.0 million remained under the repurchase authorization at 30 June 2026, after $25.0 million was bought back in the second quarter. Stockanalysis.com put the market value at $1.94 billion on 23 October 2026.
  • Cash generation has turned positive. Second-quarter free cash flow was $12.6 million, against negative $2.9 million a year earlier.

Bear case

  • Core revenue has stopped growing. Full-year 2026 guidance from the 13 August 2026 release is $2,428 million to $2,462 million, a 1.1% decline to a 0.3% gain. Third-quarter guidance of $607 million to $615 million implies a year-over-year decline of 0.3% to 1.6%.
  • Profitability is compressing. Adjusted operating margin fell to 13.2% in the second quarter from 15.0% a year earlier. Adjusted EPS fell to $1.40 from $1.53.
  • Analysts are cutting targets. Mizuho lowered its target to $51 from $59 on 6 October 2026. Wells Fargo lowered its target to $39 from $42 on 13 October 2026 and expects only in-line third-quarter results. Stockanalysis.com lists the consensus rating as Hold across 12 analysts.
  • The price already sits near consensus. One aggregator lists an average target of $45.92, almost level with the $45.03 close on 23 October 2026. Little of the published upside remains after the October run.

Price setup

The shares closed at $45.03 on 23 October 2026, per adjusted daily closes. That is 36.8% below the 52-week high of $71.21 and 28.3% above the level three months earlier. The 14-day relative strength index (RSI), a momentum gauge where readings above 70 signal an overbought stock, stood at 84.7.

The October move was steep. Investing.com reported $35.10 at the 2 October 2026 close, and the shares then reached $45.78 at the 22 October 2026 close. The 16 October 2026 close of $39.56 is the nearest reference point below the run's final leg higher. A close back under it would erase most of the move since mid-October.

Crowding is visible in the price, not in filings. Momentum is stretched, and the third-quarter report falls within 20 days. No insider-selling or share-issuance filings appeared in October 2026.

Catalysts, next 30 days

  • ~12 November 2026, est. Third-quarter 2026 results. Guidance is revenue of $607 million to $615 million, adjusted operating margin of 13.5% to 14.5% and adjusted EPS of $1.43 to $1.53. Glob.AI ARR progress toward the $110 million year-end target is the key number. A cut to full-year guidance of $2,428 million to $2,462 million would weaken the case.

What would change the view

The case breaks if the third-quarter report shows that Glob.AI ARR is not on track for $110 million by year end, or if revenue lands below the $607 million low end of guidance. A further cut to full-year guidance would confirm that AI wins are not offsetting losses in the services base. On price, a daily close below $39.50 would give back the gains since the 16 October 2026 close and show the Anthropic-driven rally has failed.

A stronger read would need ARR of roughly $80 million or more at the third-quarter report alongside revenue at or above the guidance midpoint. Target increases from firms that cut in October, such as Mizuho or Wells Fargo, would also strengthen it.

What it trades with

Globant trades with the IT services and digital engineering group: EPAM, Accenture, Wipro, Kyndryl and Gartner sit in the same AI enterprise software cluster. That cluster was cooling over the latest weeks. A weak report or a cautious demand comment from a large peer tends to pull Globant down with it. The company also has large Latin American operations, so its shares respond to regional currency and macro news that most US software names do not. With a $1.94 billion market value (stockanalysis.com, 23 October 2026), the stock moves more sharply on single headlines than its larger peers.

Notes

  • Globant is incorporated in Luxembourg and reports as a foreign private issuer, filing quarterly results on Form 6-K and annual reports on Form 20-F instead of 10-Q and 10-K.
  • Globant headlines adjusted (non-IFRS) EPS; IFRS diluted EPS was far lower, at $0.04 in Q2 2026, so the two measures should not be confused.
