How to read this
The red mark is the published kill line — the price that would prove the thesis wrong. The dot is where the name closed on the last session; a dot left of the mark has closed through its line.
Distance is drawn on a square-root scale, so close calls get the room. Past 8% a row reads well clear, with a hollow dot to show the figure is off the drawn scale. Rows run tightest first.
Kill line
A daily close below $7.50, which would extend the decline after the shares fell under the $8.94 May offering price. A treatment-related death, new serious neurotoxicity signal or FDA clinical hold would also break the case.
Not a pickResearch coverage at low conviction. A medium-or-higher call would open a pick on the scoreboard.

Immix Biopharma's CAR-T therapy NXC-201 still has strong interim data, but the shares closed at $8.35 on 22 October 2026, under both the $11.00 September offering price and the $8.94 May offering price. The market is not absorbing the new stock, and the third-quarter report, expected in early November, is the next company disclosure that can change that.
On 29 September 2026 the company reported an 89% complete-response rate across 45 patients with relapsed or refractory light-chain (AL) amyloidosis. It also said it plans a biologics license application (BLA) submission in mid-2027. NXC-201 is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy.
The earlier note set a close below $8.94 as the level that would break the case. The adjusted close of $8.35 on 22 October 2026 sits below it. The narrative is maturing: the data and the financing are both public, and no new company news has appeared since the 29 September 2026 release.
Bullish and bearish views on Immix Biopharma, Inc.
The bull case on Immix Biopharma, Inc. (IMMX), in brief: Expanded cohort kept a high response rate. The bear case: Shares trade below both offering prices.
Bull case
- Expanded cohort kept a high response rate. Immix reported on 29 September 2026 an 89% complete-response rate in all 45 NEXICART-2 patients, assessed by an independent review committee, per press coverage of the release. In December 2025 the same trial showed complete responses in 15 of 20 patients (75%), so the response rate has risen in the larger group.
- Safety was clean at the interim. Immix reported no observed neurotoxicity or enterocolitis and no relapses among patients who reached complete response or minimal residual disease (MRD) negativity (company release, 29 September 2026). The company's September prospectus supplement (Form 424B5) says safety data through 4 August 2026 were generally consistent with earlier data.
- Regulatory designations are in place. NXC-201 holds FDA Regenerative Medicine Advanced Therapy (RMAT) designation and orphan drug designation from the FDA and the European Commission. It received FDA Breakthrough Therapy designation for relapsed or refractory AL amyloidosis in January 2026 (prospectus supplement).
- Funding is large relative to spending. The second-quarter Form 10-Q, filed 7 August 2026, reported $232.1 million of cash, equivalents and short-term investments at 30 June 2026 against a $11.6 million quarterly net loss. The $125 million offering priced on 29 September 2026 adds to that before fees.
- Analysts remain positive. Needham maintained a Buy and raised its target to $30 on 29 September 2026. Morgan Stanley kept Overweight with a $19 target on 11 August 2026.
Bear case
- Shares trade below both offering prices. The 29 September 2026 offering priced 11,363,637 shares at $11.00, and the 21 May 2026 offering priced 16,778,524 shares at $8.94. The adjusted close of $8.35 on 22 October 2026 is under both.
- Two raises in five months. Each sale put new supply into the market soon after positive data. A third raise is not announced, but the market has absorbed the first two poorly.
- Price is far from the high. The shares closed 42.3% below the 52-week high of $14.47 on 22 October 2026, and the 14-day relative strength index (RSI) was 36.1 (adjusted daily closes). The shares are down 3.9% over three months.
- Durability is untested. The 89% rate is interim, from 45 patients, and the final readout is planned for mid-2027. A single-asset company has no other program to offset a setback.
- Timeline slipped. The prospectus supplement says the final readout and BLA submission are planned for mid-2027, later than the mid-2026 readout earlier analyst notes expected.
Price setup
The adjusted close of $8.35 on 22 October 2026 is the lowest reference point named in this note. The 52-week high is $14.47. Both offering prices, $11.00 and $8.94, now sit above the close and act as overhead levels where recent buyers in the offerings hold losses.
An RSI of 36.1 shows weak momentum but not the deeply oversold reading of 24.8 recorded on 9 October 2026. The three-month change of -3.9% is smaller than the -11.4% shown in the earlier note, so the shares have been range-bound over a longer window while falling since the September offering.
Crowding evidence: two equity offerings in five months and a third-quarter report expected within about two weeks. No Form 4 insider filings or retail-attention data are available for this note.
Catalysts, next 30 days
- ~6 November 2026 (est.): Third-quarter 2026 results and Form 10-Q. Earnings Whisper lists this date as expected; the company has not confirmed it, and it reported third-quarter 2025 on 7 November 2025. The report shows cash after the September offering and quarterly spending.
- Any date: Company updates on NEXICART-2 follow-up. Longer follow-up on the 45 patients would address durability.
- ~30 June 2027 (est.): Final NEXICART-2 readout and planned BLA submission, per the company's mid-2027 target.
What would change the view
The case breaks on a treatment-related death, a new serious neurotoxicity signal, an FDA clinical hold, or a company update showing relapses among complete responders. A third equity offering at a price below $8.35 would also weaken it. A daily close below $7.50 would extend the decline that began after the 29 September 2026 offering.
The case would strengthen if the third-quarter report shows spending in line with the second quarter's $11.6 million net loss and the shares close back above the $8.94 May offering price. A close above the $11.00 September offering price would show the new supply has been absorbed.
What it trades with
Immix trades on company-specific news from one clinical program, not on a sector trend. Its moves track the small- and mid-cap biotechnology group in risk-off periods, and the shares are sensitive to equity-financing conditions for clinical-stage companies. Other CAR-T developers' safety or durability results can shift sentiment toward NXC-201. No current theme group carries the name.
Notes
- NXC-201 is investigational; final safety and efficacy are not established and the 29 September 2026 results are interim.
- Immix priced an 11,363,637-share offering at $11.00 on 29 September 2026, after a 16,778,524-share offering at $8.94 on 21 May 2026.
- The company has one lead clinical program, so the shares depend heavily on NXC-201 news.
