How to read this
The red mark is the published kill line — the price that would prove the thesis wrong. The dot is where the name closed on the last session; a dot left of the mark has closed through its line.
Distance is drawn on a square-root scale, so close calls get the room. Past 8% a row reads well clear, with a hollow dot to show the figure is off the drawn scale. Rows run tightest first.
Kill line
A daily close below $0.70, which would sit under the $0.80 closes of 14 October 2026 and 27 October 2026 and the roughly $0.81 CEO purchase price. A holdings release showing a total below $380M on flat token prices would also break the case.
Not a pickResearch coverage at low conviction. A medium-or-higher call would open a pick on the scoreboard.

How picks are graded →The thesis
Eightco Holdings trades at $0.80 against roughly $380 million of company-stated holdings, and the third-quarter report (expected about 13 November 2026) plus the Worldcoin (WLD) token price decide whether that gap narrows. The adjusted close was $0.80 on 27 October 2026, the same level as 14 October 2026, 87.6% below the 52-week high of $6.42, with a 14-day relative strength index of 23.8 (adjusted daily closes).
Eightco's 17 September 2026 release reported total holdings of approximately $380 million as of 16 September 2026. That included $90 million of indirect OpenAI equity, $18 million in Beast Industries, 16,278 ether (ETH), 301,971,219 WLD valued at $0.37 each per Coinbase, and about $120 million in cash and stablecoins. A search of company releases and filings found no holdings update dated after that one.
The narrative is fading. Interest peaked in early October, when the shares cleared $1.00 for ten sessions (24 September to 7 October 2026) and Nasdaq closed the minimum-bid matter on 13 October 2026. The shares have since given back the move, and no company release in that window explains it.
Bullish and bearish views on Eightco Holdings Inc.
The bull case on Eightco Holdings Inc. (ORBS), in brief: Stated holdings are large against the share price. The bear case: The recovery did not hold.
Bull case
- Stated holdings are large against the share price. The company put total holdings at approximately $380 million on 16 September 2026, and shares outstanding were 429.78 million on 5 September 2026 (stockanalysis.com). The price at which the shares trade is the market's discount to those company-stated marks.
- Cash is a large part of the total. The 17 September 2026 release listed about $120 million in cash and stablecoins. That can fund buybacks without selling tokens.
- Buybacks are retiring shares. Eightco reported more than 26 million shares repurchased during the quarter under its $125 million programme (release, 17 September 2026).
- The CEO bought near the current price. A Form 4 filed 31 August 2026 shows CEO Kevin O'Donnell buying 50,000 shares at a weighted-average price of $0.8077. The filings list shows no insider sales.
- The listing risk is closed for now. Nasdaq confirmed compliance with Listing Rule 5550(a)(2) in the 13 October 2026 8-K.
Bear case
- The recovery did not hold.
- Stated holdings have not grown despite buybacks. Releases put the total at approximately $389 million on 19 August 2026 and approximately $380 million on 16 September 2026.
- Private stakes carry no market price. The $90 million OpenAI and $18 million Beast Industries figures are company marks held through special-purpose vehicles. A write-down would cut the total with no token move.
- Dilution paperwork is on file. A Form S-3 dated 26 August 2026 registered 9.9 million Worldcoin Tower warrants and underlying common shares (StockTitan filing summary).
- Revenue depends on one customer. The Q2 2026 10-Q, filed 7 August 2026, reported that one customer represented 99% of revenue (StockTitan filing summary).
Price setup
The adjusted close was $0.80 on 27 October 2026. That is 87.6% below the 52-week high of $6.42 and 30.8% above the close three months earlier. The 14-day relative strength index of 23.8 is below the 30 line conventionally read as heavily sold; it was 31.0 on 14 October 2026, so selling has continued in the two weeks since.
The $1.00 level matters twice. It is the Nasdaq minimum-bid line, and the shares sit 20% below it. The $0.81 CEO purchase price from late August is the nearest reference above the invalidation close of $0.70.
Crowding is low now. The shares are well under their moving averages, and there is no gap above a rising average. Heavy retail attention was visible in early October, when aggregator coverage on 2 October 2026 described a roughly 9.7% one-day rise on the OpenAI "moonshot" theme. The next earnings date is the main event risk.
Catalysts, next 30 days
- ~13 November 2026, est. Third-quarter 2026 quarterly report, per the Public.com calendar. The company has not announced the date. It shows cash after buybacks, the carrying values of the private stakes, and the share count.
Elapsed catalysts
- ~2026-11, est. A possible treasury holdings release. The last total was approximately $380 million as of 16 September 2026. (passed 51d ago)
- Ongoing. An aggregator lists a proxy statement filed 16 October 2026. Whether it carries a reverse-split proposal is not established. (passed 21d ago)
What would change the view
The case breaks if Eightco's stated holdings fall below $380 million while WLD and ETH prices are flat, or if the Q3 filing writes down the OpenAI or Beast Industries marks. A new deficiency notice from Nasdaq, or a reverse-split proposal, would also weaken it. A daily close below $0.70 would end the thesis on price.
The case strengthens if the Q3 report shows a higher per-share backing after buybacks, with the share count at or below 429.78 million and no at-the-market issuance.
What it trades with
Eightco's largest token line is WLD, which means the stated total moves with that token more than with ETH. Bitmine (BMNR), a larger ether treasury company, is described in aggregator coverage as an Eightco holder. Bitmine itself was reported on 26 October 2026 to be adding ETH while trading below $24 (Benzinga). Moves in Bitmine and in ETH are a related read on sentiment toward crypto-treasury shares. The OpenAI stake ties part of the total to private AI valuations, which do not trade daily.
Notes
- Nasdaq closed the minimum-bid deficiency on 13 October 2026 after ten sessions at or above $1.00 (24 September to 7 October 2026); a new notice would follow 30 consecutive business days below $1.00.
- Holdings figures between quarterly filings are company-stated and unaudited; the OpenAI and Beast Industries stakes are private special-purpose-vehicle marks, not exchange-quoted.
- A 1-for-5 reverse split took effect 16 August 2024, so raw quotes from before that date are not comparable with adjusted price series.
- The Q2 2026 10-Q filed 7 August 2026 reported that one customer represented 99% of revenue, per a StockTitan filing summary; the operating business is small next to the treasury assets.
