How to read this
The red mark is the published kill line — the price that would prove the thesis wrong. The dot is where the name closed on 9 October 2026; a dot left of the mark has closed through its line.
Distance is drawn on a square-root scale, so close calls get the room. Past 8% a row reads well clear, with a hollow dot to show the figure is off the drawn scale. Rows run tightest first.
Kill line
A weekly close below $9.61, the 29 September 2026 close, which would show the post-report buying fading; first-quarter fiscal 2027 sales growth below the guided high single digits would also break the case.
Not a pickResearch coverage at low conviction. A medium-or-higher call would open a pick on the scoreboard.
How picks are graded →The thesis
LuxExperience's luxury e-commerce turnaround has carried the shares to $10.00, near the $10.51 52-week high, but the price now sits above most analyst targets. Fiscal first-quarter 2027 results, expected around 11 November 2026, will show whether the improving profits continue. Until then, the shares are more likely to trail the S&P 500 than lead it.
The business case rests on the 16 September 2026 fourth-quarter report. Net sales were €653.6 million, up 7.6% excluding currency effects. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) were €13.6 million, a 2.1% margin. The company ended June with €442.7 million of cash and investments and no bank debt, according to its results release.
The narrative is maturing: three brokers raised their targets between 17 September and 24 September 2026, and no new analyst action was found after that. The question has moved from whether the turnaround is real to whether it justifies the current price.
Bullish and bearish views on LuxExperience B.V.
The bull case on LuxExperience B.V. (LUXE), in brief: Every segment grew in the fourth quarter. The bear case: The price has caught up with targets.
Bull case
- Every segment grew in the fourth quarter. On 16 September 2026, the company reported fourth-quarter sales growth excluding currency effects of 10.2% at Mytheresa, 5.6% at NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER combined, and 6.6% at YOOX.
- Costs are falling faster than sales. Group adjusted selling, general and administrative expense fell from 21.9% of sales in the first quarter of fiscal 2026 to 17.6% in the fourth, the company reported on 16 September 2026.
- Guidance points to more profit in fiscal 2027. Management guided to group sales growth in the mid to high single digits and an adjusted EBITDA margin of 2% to 3%. It expects a 100 to 200 basis point margin gain at NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER, according to the 16 September 2026 earnings call.
- The balance sheet is liquid. The company reported €442.7 million of cash and investments with zero bank debt. It also authorized a $50 million share repurchase on 16 September 2026.
Bear case
- The price has caught up with targets. The September 2026 targets are $10 at JPMorgan (Neutral), $11 at TD Cowen and $13 at B. Riley, as reported by Benzinga. MarketBeat-sourced coverage on 26 September 2026 listed two Buy, three Hold and one Sell ratings, with an average target of $10.75.
- The next quarter is guided to a loss. On the 16 September 2026 call, management guided first-quarter fiscal 2027 adjusted EBITDA to a slightly negative margin on high-single-digit sales growth.
- Earnings per share missed. Benzinga reported a fourth-quarter loss of $0.21 per share on 16 September 2026, against a $0.14 estimate, even as sales beat.
- YOOX still loses money. Management guided to a negative mid-single-digit adjusted EBITDA margin at YOOX for fiscal 2027, with break-even targeted only for fiscal 2028.
- The buyback has not started. Management said on the 16 September 2026 call that the program had not been implemented and might never be.
Price setup
The shares closed at $10.00 on 1 October 2026, 4.9% below the 52-week high of $10.51. They were up 26.3% over three months. The 14-day relative strength index (RSI) was 73.7, above the 70 level commonly read as overbought.
The move followed the report. The shares closed at $7.15 on 15 September 2026, the day before results, and traded at $8.39 before the open on 16 September, according to Investing.com. They closed at $9.61 on 29 September.
Crowding signs are mixed. The RSI reading and the price sitting above JPMorgan's $10 target point to a stretched run. No insider selling or new share issuance was found in the filings reviewed.
Catalysts, next 30 days
- No confirmed company event falls between 2 October and 1 November 2026. The fiscal first quarter closed on 30 September 2026. The company has not announced a results date.
- ~11 November 2026 (est.): first-quarter fiscal 2027 report. Investing.com lists this date; the company has not confirmed it. The report tests the high-single-digit sales guidance and the slightly negative margin outlook.
What would change the view
The case breaks if first-quarter sales growth falls short of the high single digits management guided on 16 September 2026. It also breaks if the adjusted EBITDA loss is wider than "slightly negative", or if the 2% to 3% full-year margin guidance is cut. On price, a weekly close below $9.61, the 29 September 2026 close, would show the post-report buying fading.
The case would strengthen on a weekly close above the $10.51 52-week high. It would also strengthen if first-quarter results come in at or above guidance, or if the $50 million buyback starts.
What it trades with
LUXE trades with the consumer-discretionary rotation group, alongside Signet (SIG), Vera Bradley (VRA), Fossil (FOSL) and J.Jill (JILL). The group was described as maturing through September and early October 2026, so it is giving the shares less lift. The macro backdrop works against luxury spending. Benzinga reported on 16 September–17, 2026 that Treasury yields topped 5%, oil passed $105 and the Federal Reserve raised rates. Its stock prices are quoted in dollars, but sales are reported in euros, so currency moves also affect how results translate into the share price.
Notes
- LuxExperience is a Dutch company (B.V.) whose NYSE-listed LUXE shares are depositary shares; the $50 million repurchase authorization covers these shares.
- The company reports in euros on a fiscal year ending 30 June, while LUXE shares are quoted in US dollars.
- Year-over-year comparisons in company reports use an illustrative prior-year perimeter for the acquired NET-A-PORTER, MR PORTER and YOOX businesses.
