Against its published line

The red mark is the published kill line. The dot is where the name closed on 24 August 2026. Distance is drawn on a square-root scale, so the first two points of cushion take half the track and a name sitting on its line is legible; past 8% a name reads simply as well clear. A trigger written on weekly closes is graded on weekly closes, so a name trading through such a line mid-week reads as pending, not hit.

Current thesis

Second-order AI re-rating still unconfirmed by company data, and the tape has now taken it back: the 2026-08-24 close of $243.65 leaves a three-month price change of +1.7% with RSI(14) at 27.3. The 11-analyst panel has not revised since 2026-07-22, across five external events. NVDA on 2026-08-26 re-prices the complex a month before TD SYNNEX discloses anything.

Kill line

A weekly close below $234 forfeits the $235.67 shelf unbroken since 2026-07-08 and completes the round-trip of the advance off the 2026-06-25 print. Secondary: NVDA 2026-08-26, HPE 2026-09-02 and Dell 2026-09-03 all passing with no close back above $255.70.

Current Thesis

The leg being bought is unchanged: a distributor running a 6.84% GAAP gross margin re-rated as a hyperscaler-adjacent AI-build supplier through Hyve Solutions, which printed $5.5B of gross billings, +117% YoY, and $181M of segment non-GAAP operating income, +89%, in Q2 FY2026. Consolidated revenue was $19.6B, +31% YoY; non-GAAP EPS $4.85 against $4.14 consensus. Forward P/E read 13.40 and EV/EBITDA 11.18 on 2026-08-05.

What advanced since the prior note is entirely in the tape and entirely in the direction of doubt. The 2026-08-24 session took the close to $243.65, a decline of about 2.6% from $250.14 on 2026-08-21, and dropped RSI(14) on the adjusted series to 27.3 — its first sub-30 reading in this leg, against 46.2 at the 2026-08-21 close and 66.6 into the 2026-08-14 close of $258.74. The three-month price change is +1.7%: the advance that followed the 2026-06-25 print has been fully returned, and the name now sits 15.9% under its $289.57 52-week high.

The 2026-08-24 decline had no company source. Nvidia fell 2.9% for a seventh consecutive down session — its longest losing run since 2022 — Micron dropped roughly 6%, and the Nasdaq Composite closed 0.76% lower at 25,980 while the Dow gained 0.26% to 53,417. With beta at 1.43 and no TD SYNNEX disclosure on the tape, the name traded as AI-hardware exposure into the 2026-08-26 Nvidia print rather than on anything it reported.

A 2026-08-25 re-check of the sell-side panel found it still frozen: 11 analysts, $333.55 mean, $278–$374 range, most recent revision J.P. Morgan to $350 from $325 on 2026-07-22, before that Barclays to $278 from $237 on 2026-07-02 and a 2026-06-26 cluster (RBC $315→$340, UBS $310→$352, Barrington $202→$325). No published revision has followed Ingram Micro's 2026-07-30 quarter, CDW's 2026-08-05 quarter, Supermicro's 2026-08-11 print, or the 2026-08-19 Nevada capacity release. Stockanalysis.com's summary put the mean 36.90% above the prevailing price at that check — an anchor built entirely from marks struck in June and July.

The narrative is maturing, late stage. Dating it: the $235.67 shelf has held every session since 2026-07-08 and the 200-day average read $192.96 on 2026-08-05, so nothing structural has broken. Against that, two failed reclaims of the $255.70 ceiling (close $263.79 on 2026-08-04, back inside by 2026-08-07; close $258.74 on 2026-08-14, back inside by 2026-08-19), a corporate capacity headline on 2026-08-19 that bought three consecutive lower closes, a panel unrevised for over a month across five external events, and two retrospective-compounding pieces inside 15 days (Benzinga 2026-08-06 at a $20.73B market cap, Benzinga 2026-08-21 at $20.29B and 21.68% annualised over 15 years). The prior note pre-registered two conditions for a flip to saturated — a first target cut from the 11-analyst panel, or a Q3 print inside the $18.2–19.0B guide that still cannot hold $255.70. Neither has occurred, and the second cannot be tested before the print.

Bullish and bearish views on TD SYNNEX Corporation

The model's bull view on TD SYNNEX Corporation (SNX), in brief: Hyve gross billings $5.5B, +117% YoY, with segment non-GAAP operating income $181M, +89%, in Q2 FY2026 — the profit line kept pace with volume (results release, 2026-06-25). The bear view: A three-month price change of +1.7% through 2026-08-24 means the tape has paid nothing for a quarter that grew revenue 31% and Hyve billings 117%. Both cases follow in full.

Bull Case

  • Hyve gross billings $5.5B, +117% YoY, with segment non-GAAP operating income $181M, +89%, in Q2 FY2026 — the profit line kept pace with volume (results release, 2026-06-25).
  • Q2 FY2026 net income $334.1M, +82% YoY; non-GAAP EPS $4.85 versus $4.14 consensus (2026-06-25).
  • Q3 FY2026 guided to $18.2–19.0B revenue, $273–313M net income and $4.25–4.75 non-GAAP EPS, framed on the call as roughly $18.6B ± $400M and about $4.50 ± $0.25 (2026-06-25).
  • The order pool behind Hyve is still growing on third-party evidence: Supermicro's Q4 FY2026 on 2026-08-11 posted $11.12B revenue, +93% YoY, gross margin 17.5% versus 9.5% a year earlier, more than $60B of new orders in the quarter, and FY2027 revenue guided $65–72B.
  • Physical capacity is being committed, not just described: Nevada's Governor's Office of Economic Development approved abatements on 2026-08-07 covering a 624,000 sq ft Reno campus (974 jobs at an average $32.10/hour, $31.4M of capital equipment, targeted fully operational Q4 2026) and a North Las Vegas site (240 jobs at $38.55/hour, $8.7M of equipment).
  • Valuation carried a 13.40 forward P/E and 11.18 EV/EBITDA on 2026-08-05, well below the AI-hardware comparables whose demand it is levered to.

Bear Case

  • A three-month price change of +1.7% through 2026-08-24 means the tape has paid nothing for a quarter that grew revenue 31% and Hyve billings 117%. Whatever the print proved, the market has already re-taken it.
  • Two clean rejections of $255.70 — 2026-08-04 and 2026-08-14 — followed by the 2026-08-19 Nevada release drawing three lower closes ($251.78, $250.77, $250.14). A supply-side headline that produces selling is information about who is left to buy.
  • The corporate release named 624,000 square feet and roughly 3,000 jobs; the state paperwork approved 2026-08-07 commits $3.67M and $1.03M of abatements against 974 and 240 direct jobs. Abatement filings measure committed jobs and abated equipment over a defined window, not a project budget — and they remain the only dollar figures attached to the buildout.
  • Insider flow runs one way. A 2026-08-25 check found no Form 4 disclosed after 2026-08-17.
  • Cash conversion is the open question the P&L does not answer: six-month operating cash outflow of $1.16B against $1.09B of cash at 2026-05-31.
  • Apple was 11% of Q2 FY2026 revenue and 11% of supplier purchases, tying a large slice of the distribution half to device refresh while the AI leg carries the narrative.

Setup & Price Structure

  • Reference close 2026-08-24: $243.65, 15.9% below the $289.57 52-week high on the adjusted series.
  • RSI(14) 27.3 at that close, from 46.2 on 2026-08-21 and 66.6 on 2026-08-14 — a fast unwind from overbought to oversold inside seven sessions, with no company disclosure in the window.
  • The $235.67 floor has held every session since 2026-07-08 and sits roughly 3.3% under the current close. The $255.70 shelf is the reclaim level; it has been closed above twice since 2026-08-04 and given back both times.
  • The 200-day average read $192.96 on 2026-08-05, far below the tape — the medium-term trend has not been threatened by this drawdown.
  • Crowding observables, stated without a verdict: the sell-side panel has not moved since 2026-07-22 while the stock fell about 5.8% from the 2026-08-14 close; two "$1,000 invested N years ago" retrospectives ran within 15 days (2026-08-06, 2026-08-21); insider disposals continue with no offsetting open-market buys; and the 2026-08-24 decline tracked the AI-hardware complex (Nvidia -2.9%, Micron ~-6%) rather than any SNX-specific news.
  • No company-specific print is scheduled inside 30 days. Every dated resolution between now and roughly 2026-09-24 belongs to somebody else's income statement.

Catalyst Calendar (next 30 days)

  • 2026-08-26 — NVIDIA fiscal Q2 2027 results, released approximately 1:20 p.m. PT with the call at 2:00 p.m. PT, covering the quarter ended 2026-07-26. The nearest dated read on whether AI-infrastructure order flow is still expanding.
  • 2026-08-31 — TD SYNNEX fiscal Q3 2026 quarter ends. Nothing is disclosed on the date, but it closes the first period measured against the 2026-06-25 guide.
  • 2026-09-02 — Hewlett Packard Enterprise fiscal Q3 2026 results (confirmed). First HPE print since its 2026-05-14 decision to consolidate global distribution onto Ingram Micro and TD SYNNEX; HPE guided Q3 revenue $11.5–12.1B and non-GAAP EPS $0.88–0.93 on 2026-06-01.
  • 2026-09-03 — Dell Technologies fiscal Q2 2027 results, before the open (confirmed). Dell posted record Q1 FY2027 revenue of $43.8B on 2026-05-28 and guided the following quarter to $44–45B with ISG growing roughly 75%.
  • ~2026-09-10 (est.) — TD SYNNEX press release fixing the Q3 FY2026 report date. No such release existed at a 2026-08-25 check; the FY2025 analogue announced a 2025-09-25 print, FY2024 a 2024-09-26 print, FY2023 a 2023-09-26 print.
  • ~2026-09-24 (est.) — TD SYNNEX Q3 FY2026 results, unannounced by the company and carried by data providers on that date. The only company-specific resolution: whether the guide holds, whether Hyve billings sustain triple-digit growth, whether operating cash flow turns after the $1.16B six-month drain, and whether any Nevada capex figure is finally disclosed.

What Would Change Our Mind

The structure is what breaks first. The $235.67 floor has been the entire technical argument since 2026-07-08, and the 2026-08-24 close of $243.65 leaves it roughly 3.3% away with RSI(14) at 27.3 and no company release scheduled for a month. A weekly close below $234 forfeits that shelf and completes the round-trip of the advance off the 2026-06-25 print; from there the next reference is the 200-day average, which read $192.96 on 2026-08-05.

Secondary conditions, each independently observable: NVDA on 2026-08-26, HPE on 2026-09-02 and Dell on 2026-09-03 all passing with no close back above $255.70, after failed reclaims on 2026-08-04 and 2026-08-14; or the first target cut from the 11-analyst panel — any mark below the $278 low, or a rating downgrade — which would flip the frame to saturated by removing the last unbroken support for the $333.55 mean.

What would push the other way, stated with equal specificity: Nvidia guiding the October quarter above the roughly $91.0B carried for the quarter just ended and Dell reiterating ISG growth near 75% on 2026-09-03, followed by a close above $255.70 that holds for a full week; or a Q3 print at or above the $19.0B top of guide with Hyve billings still compounding above +100% and operating cash flow turning positive.

Correlation Notes

  • Beta of 1.43 means the complex sets the price when the company is silent, and it is silent until roughly 2026-09-24. The 2026-08-24 session is the demonstration: SNX -2.6% with Nvidia -2.9%, Micron ~-6%, Nasdaq Composite -0.76% at 25,980 and the Dow up 0.26% at 53,417 — a rotation out of AI hardware, not a repricing of TD SYNNEX.
  • Hyve is the AI-server integration leg and reads against Supermicro (Q4 FY2026 on 2026-08-11), Dell ISG (2026-09-03) and Nvidia's data-center line (2026-08-26). Divergence between those three and Hyve's +117% Q2 billings growth is the cleanest fundamental check available before the print.
  • The distribution half reads against Ingram Micro, which guided its September quarter sequentially lower to $13.55–13.95B, and against CDW's 2026-08-05 quarter. HPE on 2026-09-02 is the first print since it consolidated global distribution onto Ingram and TD SYNNEX on 2026-05-14.
  • Apple at 11% of Q2 FY2026 revenue links a material share of the non-AI business to consumer and commercial device refresh cycles, which move on a different clock from hyperscaler capex.

Notes

  • Fiscal year ends in November. Q3 FY2026 covers the quarter ending 2026-08-31; the prior Q3 prints landed 2025-09-25, 2024-09-26, 2023-09-26 and 2022-09-27.
  • Thin-margin passthrough: Q2 FY2026 GAAP gross margin was 6.84%, so mix shifts move EPS far more than headline revenue growth does.
  • Two top lines: revenue and non-GAAP gross billings differed by roughly $9.3B in Q2 FY2026, so growth comparisons need the matching line.
  • 3,022,195 carry a $191.10 strike vesting only on Amazon purchase-volume thresholds. Expires 2033-05-30.
  • Apple was 11% of Q2 FY2026 revenue and 11% of supplier purchases; no other single customer exceeded 10% of revenue.
  • Quarterly dividend $0.48 per share; the most recent ex-date was 2026-07-17, paid 2026-07-31.

Identity-security re-rating in its second, sell-side-led leg; the upgrade wave is still building nearly two months post-print — Wells Fargo lifted its target to $150 from $100 on 2026-07-20, collapsing the low-end dispersion.
