How to read this

The red mark is the published kill line — the price that would prove the thesis wrong. The dot is where the name closed on the last session; a dot left of the mark has closed through its line.

Distance is drawn on a square-root scale, so close calls get the room. Past 8% a row reads well clear, with a hollow dot to show the figure is off the drawn scale. Rows run tightest first.

Kill line

A daily close below $11, under the round-number level beneath the September–October lows. A third-quarter report that again gives no euro figure for prediction-market revenue, or cuts 2026 revenue guidance below €1,518 million, would also break the case.

Not a pickResearch coverage at low conviction. A medium-or-higher call would open a pick on the scoreboard.

The thesis

Sportradar Group AG supplies sports data to betting operators and now to prediction-market platforms, but no euro revenue is attached to the prediction-market contracts yet. The third-quarter report on 3 November 2026 settles whether revenue and the full-year outlook of €1,518 million–€1,533 million hold.

The shares closed at $11.99 on 22 October 2026, according to adjusted daily closes. That is 56.4% below the 52-week high of $27.50 and 18.3% lower over three months. The close is under the $12.12 September low of 18 September 2026, which the 10 October 2026 note treated as the level that mattered.

Two brokers cut targets this week. Morgan Stanley kept Equal-Weight and lowered its price target to $13.50 on 19 October 2026. JPMorgan kept Neutral and lowered its target to $13 on 20 October 2026. The narrative is saturated: the Polymarket expansion of 27 August 2026 and the Atrium Sports sale of 7 October 2026 are weeks old, and the newest news is target cuts.

Bullish and bearish views on Sportradar Group AG

The bull case on Sportradar Group AG (SRAD), in brief: Distribution reaches more sports. The bear case: Scope has no disclosed euros.

Bull case

  • Distribution reaches more sports. Sportradar's 27 August 2026 release expanded the Polymarket agreement to more than 20 leagues and competitions. The company has not disclosed the revenue this produces.
  • Core operations still grow. The second-quarter 2026 report on 3 August 2026 showed revenue of €378 million, up 19% year over year, and free cash flow of €59 million, up 14%.
  • Cash arrives from a non-core sale. Sportradar agreed on 7 October 2026 to sell Atrium Sports to Teamworks Innovations for $170 million in cash. Closing is expected in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary conditions.
  • Company share repurchases are disclosed. Sportradar reported on 3 August 2026 that it had repurchased $311 million of shares in 2026 through 31 July 2026 under a $1 billion authorization.
  • Targets sit above the share price. Morgan Stanley's $13.50 and JPMorgan's $13 targets both exceed the $11.99 close of 22 October 2026. Macquarie's Outperform rating with a $19 target (7 October 2026) and Wolfe Research's Outperform initiation with a $22 target (2 September 2026) sit further above.

Bear case

  • Scope has no disclosed euros. The Polymarket announcement quantified leagues, not revenue. A third-quarter report without a separate prediction-market figure leaves the central claim untested.
  • Broker targets keep falling. Morgan Stanley (19 October 2026) and JPMorgan (20 October 2026) each lowered targets ahead of the report, following Macquarie's cut to $19 on 7 October 2026. Both new targets are only about 8% to 13% above the share price, which shows how little upside those firms see.
  • The share price has broken its range. Adjusted closes ranged from $12.12 (18 September 2026) to $13.60 (22 September 2026) after mid-September. The close of $11.99 on 22 October 2026 is below that range.
  • Operator legality is unresolved. Sportradar rejected the short-seller reports of 22 April 2026, and its published results do not split revenue between legal and illegal operators.
  • The divestiture shrinks the business. The Atrium Sports sale removes a unit from the portfolio. The company has not disclosed the revenue or earnings Atrium contributes.

Price setup

Adjusted daily closes put the shares at $11.99 on 22 October 2026, below the September closing low of $12.12 and the $12 level the prior note used. The mid-September to early-October range of $12.12 to $13.60 no longer contains the price. The 52-week high is $27.50.

The 14-day relative strength index, a momentum gauge on a 0–100 scale, reads 53.2, which is neutral. Momentum is not stretched in either direction, so the price break below $12 came without an oversold reading.

Crowding evidence is limited to the calendar. The earnings report is 12 days away, and two brokers cut targets in the last four days. No SEC Form 4 insider filings are listed, and Sportradar files as a foreign private issuer, so insider trades are not reported on that schedule. The shares trade well under every moving-average-style recovery level cited in the August and September notes; the 14 August 2026 close of $13.82 is the nearest prior reference.

Catalysts, next 30 days

  • Fourth quarter 2026: expected close of the $170 million Atrium Sports sale. The company guides to closing in the quarter. Closing delivers the cash and removes a non-core unit.

Elapsed catalysts

  • 3 November 2026: third-quarter 2026 results. Sportradar announced on 22 October 2026 that it will release third-quarter financial and operating results on 3 November 2026. The report shows whether full-year revenue guidance of €1,518 million–€1,533 million holds and whether prediction-market revenue gets a euro figure. (passed 3d ago)

What would change the view

The case breaks if the third-quarter report again gives no euro figure for prediction-market revenue, or if it cuts full-year revenue guidance below the 3 August 2026 lower bound of €1,518 million. Either result would leave the central claim without revenue to support it.

On price, a daily close below $11 would put the shares under the round-number level beneath the September–October lows and would end the thesis as written.

The case strengthens if the report quantifies prediction-market revenue in euros and holds the €1,518 million–€1,533 million outlook. Further target cuts from brokers after the report would show the estimate reset has not finished.

What it trades with

Sportradar sells data to betting operators, so its shares respond to news about the sports-betting and prediction-market industries, including operator volumes and legality rulings. The Polymarket agreement ties part of the story to prediction-market platform growth. The company reports in euros and its shares trade in dollars on a US exchange, so the euro-dollar rate affects the dollar value of reported results.

Notes

  • Sportradar is a Swiss foreign private issuer that reports through Form 20-F and Form 6-K rather than the US domestic-issuer filing schedule.
  • Sportradar rejected the short-seller reports of 22 April 2026; the operator-legality dispute is not resolved in its published results.
  • The Atrium Sports sale to Teamworks is a definitive agreement expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary conditions.
